The Rag and Bone Man workshop offers a unique and sustainable contemporary style of craftsmanship that combines the past with the present. Aged machinery, iconic engine components and historical motor parts along with modern scrap otherwise destined for the melting pot are collected from scrap yards and grease shops, reworked, restored and re-energised into a wealth of bespoke objects

The British workshop has a talent for channelling the character and quirks of every component that they incorporate, reinventing each element into the contemporary lighting, furniture and interior accessory designs for individuals, interior designers, architects, restaurants and hotels from which The Rag and Bone Man brand has become known

REVIVE AND THRIVE

Art and Engineering at Goodwood Revival

We were delighted to be returning to Goodwood Revival as part of Revive and Thrive in 2023. We presented new work made with our ethos of reworking and reengineering beautiful and historic components from the automotive and aviation industry. Using our heritage machines and skills that we have harnessed over the last ten years we our continuing to develop a Morgan wing chaise longue in collaboration with the Heritage Skills Academy which we kicked off over the weekend

The Rag and Bone Man Art Blade for Morgan Motors x Malle London

To celebrate the new design direction of the Super 3 we were honoured to be part of Morgan and Malle’s collaborative exhibition ‘Super Form,’ reimagining the Super3 Side blade alongside a small group of artists who are all connected with the automotive world.

The art blades are on a 12 month tour and will eventually be auctioned for charity.

The Rag and Bone Man creates trophies for MotoGP Silverstone and Barcelona 2022

It was an incredible honour to be invited to make our third suite of Monster Energy MotoGP trophies this year and our second suite for our home track Silverstone Racing Circuit.

HOW WE WORK

At The Rag and Bone Man, we work in many different ways and offer a range of services. We have been creating bespoke lighting, furniture, and interior accessories for over 10 years. You will find the work we currently have available on our store page however we often work on commissions and are happy to be approached and create designs for a wide range of projects. Our pieces run from small interior details to large sculptural chandeliers and our customers extend from individuals to global companies. We are well experienced with TV projects from consulting at the development stage to participation and helping produce content. We also offer product development consultation and have worked with both the retail, interiors, and architecture sectors on this. We love working collaboratively with other creatives and brands so if you have an idea do get in touch.
